Borsa Vini & Italian Wine Contest 2025: Celebrating The Diversity of Italian Wines in Vietnam

The Italian Trade Agency (ITA), in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in HCMC and the Saigon Sommelier Association (VSA), officially announces the grand event series: “The Diversity of Italian Wines – 3rd Edition”. This major trade and cultural event brings together 25 premier Italian wine producers to showcase their world-class portfolios and foster strategic partnerships in the Vietnamese market.

As a signature highlight of the event, the 2nd “Italian Wine Contest” in HCMC makes its highly anticipated return. This prestigious competition offers an exceptional platform for hospitality professionals, sommeliers, and wine enthusiasts to test their expertise, sharpen their palates, and delve deeper into the complex world of Italian viticulture.

“Italian Wine Contest 2025” Official Schedule

The competition features a rigorous format designed to challenge and recognize top wine talents:

1.Round 1: Theoretical Paper Test:08:30 – 10:00 | May 8th, 2025.

All pre-registered candidates will undergo a comprehensive written examination covering Italy’s wine regions, indigenous grape varieties, and classification laws. Note: The test is conducted 100% in English.

2.Round 2: Blind Tasting & Oral Exam:13:00 – 15:00 | May 8th, 2025.

The top 3 standout candidates from Round 1 will advance to the grand finale, featuring a blind tasting challenge (identifying grapes, regions, and vintages) alongside an oral defense in front of an expert panel.

3.Award Ceremony:Post 15:00 | May 8th, 2025.

The final winner will receive exclusive rewards from the organizers. Additionally, every participant who completes the theoretical round will walk away with a special gift package.
